Terms of use

Last updated 9 September 2026

Medical disclaimer. Luteum provides estimates for general wellbeing and education only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Predictions are based on self-reported data and natural cycles vary. Luteum must not be used as a method of contraception, or to plan or avoid pregnancy. Always speak to a qualified healthcare professional about symptoms, contraception, fertility, or any health concern. If something feels wrong, seek medical care — don't wait on an app. The patterns Luteum highlights are observations about what you logged, not findings and never a diagnosis; only a clinician can tell you what they mean. Luteum is intended for personal wellbeing use by people aged 13 and over.

Using Luteum

By using Luteum you agree to use it for personal, non-medical wellbeing purposes only, and you accept the medical disclaimer above.

No warranty

Luteum is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any decision made in reliance on the app's estimates.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Your data and your device

Luteum stores your data on your device only. You are responsible for your device, and for keeping your own copies of any data you export. If you delete the app or your data, it cannot be recovered by us, because we never hold a copy.

Purchases

Luteum is free to use in full. Optional one-time tips are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase and are voluntary; they unlock cosmetic extras only. No health feature is ever placed behind a purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's Media Services Terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the country you live in.

Who provides Luteum

Luteum is made and published by Jago Hawtin, a sole developer based in the United Kingdom.

Changes

These terms may be updated; material changes will appear in the app and on this page.
